Here are some poems I’ve seen and listened to in some films. Poems that I really really loved.
A good poem -I presume- will hunt you to the very end of your life, even if you read it in a newspaper, on the cereal box, in a guidebook, or even you pass by in a street.. it’ll keep hunting you, and stay with you for the rest of your life. it becomes a part of your soul without you even knowing that!. Therefore all the scenes here are about the poems that kept inside of me, and every time I re-watch the movie I keep waiting for that scene!.. that one specific scene where the character start uttering the magical words. The beginning of something really enchanting and mesmerizing.
1#The devil’s Backbone:
What is a ghost?
A tragedy condemned to repeat itself time and again?
An instant of pain, perhaps.
Something dead which still seems to be alive.
An emotion suspended in time.
Like a blurred photograph.
Like an insect trapped in amber.
2#Testament of Youth:
Violets from oversea,
To your dear, far, forgetting land
These I send in memory,
Knowing You will understand.
3#Antwone Fisher:
Who will cry for the little boy?
He walked the burning sand
Who will cry for the little boy?
The boy inside the man.
4#The Invisible:
-For me it’s the unfinished poem :):
In the night
I break into sparks of suns
and become fires end,
The dust of bones,
Night knifes my breathe,
Swallows whole my tongue,
Turn back, reverse, return,
5#My Girl:
You though his laughter would never fade.
6#The devil’s Backbone:
Stay by my side
As my fragile body cracked by pain.
Stay by my side as I fade.
So you can point to the end of my struggle.
7#Dead Poets Society:
From the moment we enter crying
To the moment we leave dying
It’ll cover your face
As you wail and cry and scream.
8#10Things I Hate About You:
But mostly I hate the way
I don’t hate you.
Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.
